Valentine's Day Wedding Theme Color Palette

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, some of you might be celebrating a Valentine's Day Wedding Theme or possibly getting engaged. I have chosen some color palettes to give you a head start on choosing you wedding colors. I was able to accomplish this using a wonderful tool provided by Sherwin Williams called Chipit. I had introduced this tool before in a previous post labeled, Awesome D.I.Y. Tools. I thought it would be neat to highlight it once again...and perhaps many more times for other color palette ideas since I think its such an awesome tool.

Valentine's Theme Wedding: Finds through Etsy

Thought it would be nice to post a couple of Valentine inspired wedding accessories that I have came across through Etsy. I love this site. It's amazing the things people come up with. Hope you like my quick selection.

Any favorites or least favorites? I thought the hand holding the heart was a little creepy but interesting. But my favorite is the ring bearer's pillow with the little flowers shaped into a heart. I know it's simple but it's cute.

Affordable Valentine's Day Dinner and Gift Ideas

In the mist of planning your wedding, you may be too overwhelmed to plan something romantic with your future husband.  Now would be the perfect time to put all your stress to the side and enjoy this special day. Don't worry no one is going to raise their prices on their services, or discontinue your wedding dress, or move out of the country over one day, the best that can happen is that you have spent your day with the one you love.

To help you, I have put together some DIY Valentine gifts that require little effort but say a lot. All that is needed for these gifts is some pretty paper, scissors, glue, and some words from the heart. If you think you can handle this, head on over to the Martha Stewart website to check out her tutorials.

The Look for Less: Valentine's Day Wedding

Valentine's Day is around the corner. Hopefully you get more than a box of chocolates and flowers this Valentine's Day. Something sparkly, like an engagement ring:) If so, and you wish to recreate the memory of that special day by having a Valentine's Wedding Theme you came to the right place.  When you think Valentine's Day, you usually think of roses. While I'm not a huge fan of roses mostly because they are overpriced and eventually whither away, I was inspired by them to create your Look for Less: Valentine's Day Reception Decor.

Love all these DIY projects. Before you get attached and obsessed with these decorations, I must warn you they are labor intense...confession from the bride herself. But if you have the time or enough friends to take advantage of, I would definitely go for this. Makes such a dramatic statment.

Hanging Roses

Absolutely love the roses hanging from the tree. You can spray paint a bunch of branches white to recreate this look. Remember to save money use silk roses. You can use your choice of flower if you  prefer not to use roses.

I featured a tutorial on creating the look for less for floral topiaries on a previous post: DIY floral topiaries. So in search of an affordable way to create the romantic scenery of hanging roses, I took notice that you can create the Look for Less by following this tutorial to make your roses or you can always buy at the Dollar store, Oriental Trading ($5.00/dozen)or Amazon. Head on over to the House of the Smiths where this awesome step by step tutorial is featured, along with other DIY projects. Warning: the DIY section of this site is very addicting:)
